Janet Zhou is the Executive Director of the Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development (ZIMCODD). Prior to this role, she served as the Programmes Director for ZIMCODD. She also served as ZIMCODD’s Southern Regional Programmes Officer. Janet holds a Master of Science in International Relations and Bachelor of Science Degree in Politics and Administration from the University of Zimbabwe amongst other professional qualifications. Janet is highly experienced with over 14 years’ experience in the NGO sector both at national and SADC level.
John P. Maketo is the Head of Programmes department. He brings valuable working experience in the NGO and Civil society sector in Zimbabwe with bias in economic governance in particular public finance management, anticorruption work in public and private sector working with parliament, media and civil society. Areas of specialty and interest include development policy and practice, public administration, public finance management, anti-corruption advocacy, social and economic justice. John is a student of Development studies with a Master’s degree in the field and studying towards a doctorate in governance and public management. Before joining ZIMCODD, John worked for Zimbabwe Community Development Trust (ZCDT), Transparency International Zimbabwe (TI-Z) and National Association of NGOs (NANGO) between 2006 and 2018.
Finance & Administration Manager
Joyce Mutsau is the Finance and Administration Manager for the Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development (ZIMCODD). Before joining ZIMCODD in December 2018, she served as Finance Officer with FHI360 Zimbabwe. As the ZIMCODD Finance and Administration Manager, she is responsible for the overall financial management and administration of ZIMCODD. She oversees the budgetary processes, implementation of policies as well as monitoring compliance with both Funding Partners regulations and local laws.
Grants, Integrity, Compliance and
Temba Munsaka has finance and project management background, grounded in systems thinking approaches. He boasts of over fifteen years in development science, rich exposure at both funding agencies and implementing organizations. He has helped several nascent organizations to set up and assisted CBOs to be national entities and is good at creating innovative spaces for organizations to thrive and embrace compliance to enhance program delivery. At ZIMCODD, Temba is responsible for managing the grant architecture as the organization thrives through a multidisciplinary programming that speaks to several funding agencies. His role is to create a seamless space for ZIMCODD to deliver on its mandate and balance program delivery and compliance.
Fambai Ngirande is a social and economic justice Activist with training in social-work and public policy and governance. He is currently the Coordinator of the Southern Africa People’s Solidarity Network working to support social and economic justice campaigns and mobilisation efforts of social movements under the SAPSN network. Prior to joining SAPSN, Fambai has served in several local and international organisations where he has contributed to the advancement of democratisation, good governance and sustainable development in Southern Africa and to the strengthening of Civil Society Organisations and Social Movements.
Senior Programmes Officer
Eustinah is the Senior Programmes Officer for the Public Finance Management portfolio. Prior to this she was a Researcher with the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum. Eustinah holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Politics and Administration from the University of Zimbabwe. Eustinah has publications in human rights, transitional justice and politics and governance. Eustinah has 9 years’ experience in the NGO sector.
Senior Programmes Officer
Eve Nyemba is a Senior Programmes Officer at ZIMCODD focusing on Domestic Resource Mobilization, Trade Justice and Livelihoods portfolios. She is an experienced researcher, trainer and writer in politics and governance in Africa, international organisation administration, foreign policy analysis and international economic relations, particularly, trade justice, debt management and natural resources governance. She served as a Lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies for 9 years. She holds a Master’s of Science Degree in International Relations and a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Politics and Administration from the University of Zimbabwe.
and Evaluation Officer
Vulindlela Ndlovu is the Strategic Information and Evaluation Officer at ZIMCODD. He liaises with the Programme staff, ZIMCODD membership and stakeholders for project data quality improvements, gathering of strategic information, programmes and impact reporting strengthening. The incumbent will work towards coordinated and efficient efforts in designing, implementing, monitoring, evaluation and programmes quality improvement towards attainment of set goals. He holds an Mpil Monitoring and Evaluation Methods, Post Graduate Diploma in Media and Communication Studies, a Bachelor of Arts and has over 12 Years of experience.
Angellah Mandoreba is the Campaigns Officer at the Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development. She holds an Honours Degree in English and Communication from Midlands State University. She has media and communication experience which she gained when she worked for the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation and the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority.
Precious Lupahla is a social and economic justice activist, working in the Programmes department at the Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development (ZIMCODD). She holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in History from the Midlands State University and currently studying for a Master of Science in Development studies with National University of Science and Technology. Her biggest dreams and aspirations specifically relate to the achievement of a Zimbabwe and a world where ordinary people do not have to continue to suffer due to ill-governance or the continued lack of economic and social opportunities. She is passionate about empowering and educating women and girls from disempowered communities on issues of social, economic and environmental justice.
Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant
Tinashe Madondo is the Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant of the Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development (ZIMCODD). Tinashe holds a Master of Arts Development Studies and Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in History and Development Studies from the Midlands State University. Relevant to his work, Tinashe holds an Executive Certificate in Programme and Project Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of Zimbabwe amongst other professional qualifications. Tinashe is highly experienced with 8 years’ experience in the NGO, Democracy Rights and Governance sector.
Research & Evidence Officer
Muchanyara Midzi is the Research & Evidence Officer for the Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development. Before joining ZIMCODD, she worked as a Research & Business Development Executive at a Systems Management Consulting firm where she draws 8 years of experience in research, organisation development, monitoring, evaluation and learning in development work. Muchanyara holds a Master of Science in Development Studies from the Women’s University in Africa amongst other professional qualifications.
Ellen Chipunza is a Programme Associate for Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development (ZIMCODD). She joined ZIMCODD as part of the Administration staff before moving to programming. Ellen holds a BA Honors Degree in History from the University of Zimbabwe. She is responsible for coordinating ZIMCODD programming and also dedicates her time to coordinating SAPSN activities as an Assistant for the SAPSN Regional Coordinator manning the regional desk.
Lynnete Hlatywayo is a Programme Assistant at ZIMCODD. She provides programming and administrative support under the supervision of the Programmes Manager. She contributes to the preparation of ZIMCODD publications e.g. policy briefs, research reports and newsletters, research and analyses on emerging economic governance/Public Finance Management in Zimbabwe as well as profiling the work of ZIMCODD at local, national and regional level. She also ensures mainstreaming of gender in ZIMCODD campaigns and advocacy initiatives and programme implementation.
Kudzwai Gokova is a Programmes Intern at the Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development (ZIMCODD). She assists programme officers in programme planning, implementation and reporting and assists in carrying out primary research work and contributes to ZIMCODD’s knowledge products generation drive. She also assists in logistics for program activities and implementation of the annual workplan. Kudzwai holds an LL.M (Master of Laws) from Women’s University in Zimbabwe and an LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) from Nelson Mandela University, South Africa.
Information and Communications
Felistas assists in the Information and Communications department with documenting, profiling and disseminating information on ZIMCODD work. She is responsible for maintaining ZIMCODD’s online presence on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, You Tube and Blogging and also works with podcasts and skits producers. Felistas is a great connector with a degree qualification in English and Communication Studies and two years post qualification experience. She has a focused approach to work and has found her niche as she writes on social and economic issues affecting women and the girl child in different communities.
Zvikomborero Sibanda is a Research Associate at the Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development (ZIMCODD). Zvikomborero is responsible for research and evidence gathering, policy analysis, and economic modelling. Before joining ZIMCODD, he was an Economic Analyst at Equity Axis. Zvikomborero holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe. Zvikomborero has more than 3 years’ experience in research and economic analysis. His research interests are in public finance, economic development, and macroeconomics.
Bismark Mutizwa is a Research Associate at the Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development (ZIMCODD). Prior to this role, Bismark was an independent consultant who worked with various Civil Society Organisations. He also has experience in the Humanitarian sector where he has worked with Action Aid Zimbabwe as a Field Monitor. Bismark holds a BSc in Politics and Public Management (MSU) and MSc in Public Administration (UZ). He is a budding and optimistic development political economist keen on supporting economic and social policy reform bend on fortifying social and economic justice in Zimbabwe. He is acquainted with national, regional, and international development discourse, he has amassed experience in policy-oriented research structured to support the growth agendas typically required in Policy Making Institutions, Government, Civil Society Organizations, Financial Institutions, and International Organizations.
Finance and Administration Officer
Emily is the Finance and Administration officer. She is a professional with strong accounting, administration, human resources management and financial management skills and experience of over 15 years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a BSC Accounting from the University of Zimbabwe. She is an ACCA member. Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring of the organization’s finance and human resources management strategies. The FAO is responsible for assisting the Finance and Administration Manager in accounting, report compliance within ZIMCODD, this includes, producing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and year-end accounts in the accounting system, human resources management, as well as administration functions for ZIMCODD.
Moses is a mature and dynamic person studying towards ACCA qualification. He is diligent and has good institutional memory for the Finance department. He has sound ethical principles, objectivity and professional behaviour. With excellent decision-making capabilities and motivation to hard work, acknowledging with an in-depth understanding, the emerging of technologies and their commercial applications. Proficient in word processing, PASTEL, Excel and internet programs. Moses is responsible for preparation of all relevant donor reports in line with donor contracts and for capturing transactions in line with donor contracts, liaising with funding Partners on all financial matters and manages a portfolio of partners.
Lydia Dhliwayo is a dedicated administration practitioner who has over 15 years of administration work. At ZIMCODD she is in charge of logistics, procurement for various partner projects and general administration work for ZIMCODD. Assisting in managing large and small projects from different funders. She provides administrative services to the Executive Director, Finance Department, and other members of staff.
